Hamilton Hill
Portuguese Community Centre
New premises for the WA Portuguese Club
After 50 years at their original home in Beaconsfield, the W.A. Portuguese Club is preparing to open a new chapter — with a purpose-built space designed to support connection, culture, and community for decades to come.
Now under construction in Hamilton Hill, the new premises back onto Goodchild Park and have been carefully designed to honour the club’s history while supporting its future.
The development will feature a spacious auditorium and functions room, alongside a vibrant entertainment area with a café, bar, and dedicated cards space — all designed to open out onto the park and support community gatherings.
A large commercial kitchen and bar will service the space, including the club’s much-loved monthly BBQ nights. The layout balances function and flexibility, with room to grow as the community does.
Currently at the steel framing stage, the Portuguese Community Centre is on its way to becoming a welcoming, modern venue for cultural celebration, social connection, and everyday community life.
